July 22 Birthright is not right

Last week, Senator Jim Banks introduced the Citizenship Act of 2026 to end birthright citizenship for children of illegal aliens and birth tourists. This will deny automatic citizenship to children born to unauthorized entrants or those engaging in birth tourism. Since 2000, over 8 million births were to unauthorized immigrant mothers. Pew Research data shows that roughly 300,000 such births in 2023 were 9% of all U.S. births. Those births have a staggering cost, 69 billion annually in education expenses, and since the year 2000, 1.5 trillion in education costs alone. This money is being taken from U.S. citizens.
