Sept 22 Virginia votes for the right to murder

In my home state of Virginia, we have three amendments to the Constitution that we're going to vote on. They're all bad, but the most egregious is the one on abortion. Any stage in the pregnancy? For any reason. "My body? My choice."

Reminded me of ancient Rome. I was reading an account, I think it was by Pliny the Elder. The Roman Senate was debating on whether a man could kill his wife and children. (patria potestas) In the debate, the Senator stood up and said, "My children, my wife. Who can tell me that I can't kill MY wife and MY children?"

It seems history repeats itself, especially here in Virginia. And after the Lindsay Clancy case where her mother strangled her three children and the jury couldn't even decide whether it was murder. If we vote yes on the abortion amendment, we know where it's heading: patria potestas
